So what is a Meningioma? Our bodies have a protective layer called the meninges which envelopes our central nervous system (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Meninges). A Meningioma is a tumor that grows out of the meninges. It doesn't grow inside the brain. Rather it grows from the meninges and presses on the brain. My Meningioma was a bit bigger than the size of a golf ball and more oval than round in shape.
